A Great Deception is published by the Western Shugden Society, an international alliance of Buddhists who engage in traditional prayers to Buddha Dorje Shugden. This practice has been banned by the Dalai Lama in violation of basic human rights and constitutional law. Enforcement of this ban by his Tibetan government has resulted in intensive persecution of Shugden practitioners worldwide.
The culture of Tibet is such that the Dalai Lama’s actions are not questioned or challenged without repercussion. With concerns for safety of loved ones that are proven legitimate, the authors and contributors to this historical book remain unnamed.
